Find dealers

Find automotive dealers by franchise, group, and location

A car dealership looks like one business and often is not. Many stores, or rooftops, belong to a dealer group, and the group decides what every store runs. Find the group and the list gets short.

try

Dealers cluster. One principal can own eleven rooftops under four franchise brands, and each store carries its own name, address, and phone number. Source the stores and you get a long list of the same customer. Resolve the group and you get the account you meant to build.

Serper's maps search returns the rooftops with brand and location. Once a store's site names its group, a people search on that group finds the people at group level. Blitz API finds work email for principals and general managers with a LinkedIn profile, and ClearoutPhone checks the store line before anyone dials it.

Example searches

Ask for it the way you'd say it

Each example is a request in plain words, with what it returns underneath.

  • Group, not rooftop

dealer groups in the southwest operating more than five stores

Rooftops collapse into the group their sites name, so one message reaches the person who decides for every store in the chain. A group that never publishes the parent needs a manual check.

  • By franchise brand

dealers carrying two or more import franchises in the same metro

Brands are stored per rooftop, which lets a group be filtered on its mix of franchises rather than on a single badge.

  • Fixed operations

find the fixed operations director and the general manager at each store

Service and parts leadership resolves separately from sales, which matters when what you sell lives in the service drive.

Plays

Three motions you can run this week

Each one is a chain of OXYGEN primitives: the same hosted objects your workspace already has, composed.

  • One group, many rooftops

A dealer group appears once, with every store it owns listed underneath it.

    1. 1Resolve ownership for each rooftop and link the store rows to the group record.
    2. 2Keep store-level phone and address on the child rows for the field rep.
    oxygen tables link
  • Service drive, not the showroom

A fixed operations product reaches the fixed operations director who owns it.

    1. 1Filter to rooftops where a service or parts leader resolved with a direct address, and send those rows to a table of their own.
    2. 2Enroll that table in a cadence written for the service drive, and keep the replies in one inbox.
    oxygen sequences enroll
  • Validated store lines

Reps dial store lines that passed a validity check, from a queue instead of a spreadsheet.

    1. 1Add a phone check on each store number, and drop the rows it marks invalid.
    2. 2Send the valid rows to a table of their own and enroll it in a sequence with a call task per store. Calls run in the web softphone, a beta you turn on in Settings, from a number you buy there.

Who you can reach

Roles you can find at car dealerships and dealer groups

Reachability is per channel: a role marked for mobile is one the phone waterfall usually resolves, not a guarantee for every record.

Filters you can search on

  • Franchise brands carried
  • Rooftops under one group
  • New, used, or both
  • State, metro, or city
  • Service department present
  • Website platform where the site names its vendor
  • Inventory size band from the site
  • Group head office location

Rooftops, addresses, and phone numbers are dependable and close to complete. Group ownership is the weaker link. Some groups brand every store locally and never publish the parent, so expect part of the list to need a manual check before it collapses correctly.

Data sources

Data sources and CRM connections

  • Serper

Rooftop listings from Google Maps with address, phone, category, rating, and site.

  • People Data Labs

A company record for the dealer group a store's site names, with headcount and industry, run when you pick it by name.

  • Blitz API

Work email for principals, general managers, and group leaders with a LinkedIn profile, found from that profile.

  • ClearoutPhone

Validation and line type on store numbers, so a call lane starts clean.

Use managed credits where available, or connect a supported provider key on an eligible paid plan. Your provider bills its calls; OXYGEN adds a per-call platform fee. Signed-in CRM connections such as HubSpot have no per-call fee. Connected sending accounts reserve monthly credits. See pricing and supported integrations.

Limits

Where this stops

  • Group ownership is not consistently published in this market. Some principals keep every store branded locally, so treat an unresolved group cell as unknown and check it before merging rows together.

FAQ

Questions people ask first

Why source groups rather than stores?
Because the group decides. A principal running eleven rooftops buys once for all of them, and a store-level list turns one conversation into eleven cold calls that go nowhere.
Can I filter by franchise brand?
Yes. Brands are stored per rooftop, so you filter on a single badge or on the mix a group carries. That mix often says more about the group's strategy than its size does.
Who answers the phone at a dealership?
Not the person you want. Store lines route to sales, so validate the number, use it to reach reception, and keep the direct address for the principal or the general manager.
Does independent used-car retail show up?
Yes, as its own segment. Independents behave more like small businesses than franchised stores, so keep them separate and expect thinner named-contact coverage across the segment.
Can I tell which platform a dealer site runs on?
Only where the site says so. Dealer platforms usually leave a vendor credit in the footer or a branded inventory path. A research column reads that off the site, so the column fills where it is public and stays empty where it is not.
How do I keep group ownership accurate?
Re-check it on a schedule. Rooftops change hands regularly, and a stale ownership cell is the fastest way to send two groups a message that was meant for the other.
